Tess's first Date?

Was planning to take Tess and Sam to the WW2 Plane Exhibition, but the SBA schedule was Monday afternoon through Wednesday noon rather than a weekend.  Tess has swimming lessons after school, so we couldn't go Monday or Tuesday, and the planes were leaving at noon on Wednesday.  Sam didn't want to miss school, but Tess still wanted to go.  I ended up calling the 2 boys in Tess's 4th grade class on Wednesday morning, Cooper and Chris.  Cooper's mom said he wouldn't want to miss school, but I'm not sure Cooper would concur.  Chris's mom said it was ok.  Also asked a couple of other moms of Tess's girl classmates, but I didn't want to cause too much disruption to their school day and the girls were less interested.  Tess's teacher was ok with the activity.

Picked up Tess and Chris at 9:45 and got the airport about 10:15.  The schedule was for the planes to fly out at noon, so I was figuring we could tour the exhibits and then watch them fire up and fly away.  Unfortunately, after about an hour the kids were getting bored.  They would have been game for another activity and then coming back, but it was a school day, so I took them back to class to minimize the impact.

It was fun watching the kids interact.  Sort of like a first date for Tess.  Both seemed to have fun.  It was crazy hair day at school.  Tess added some color but Chris opted to stick with his normal style.

I printed out a half dozen photos for Tess to take to school the next day and put all the photos on a CD.  There are a few more than posted here, but I wanted to keep the size down on the web site.  The posted pictures are ok for printing, but in the unlikely event that someone wants a larger version, I have the originals.
