Tom routed through Peoria on his way to a job in Warren Ohio so he could visit with Byron the weekend of Saturday 7/23/2016.
Tom arrived on Saturday and rented a car at the airport, then checked into the Red Roof Inn ($62 per night budget accommodations within reasonable proximity to Byron's apartment, half way between the airport and the apartment).
Tom arrive at BJ's apartment a little after 2. The brothers hung out for awhile and discussed various stuff including Byron's impressive computer lab. They then went out for Buffalo Burgers, which Byron procures daily from a health food store. Tom was out of gas after returning to the apartment a little after 6 PM, so Tom went back to the Inn and retired early.
On Sunday, Tom was up early, but Byron needed more time in the morning, so Tom penciled an outline for discussion. Byron took Tom to a park on a bluff (Grand View Drive in Peoria Heights) where they sat on a bench overlooking the Illinois River. It was a hot day in the mid 90s, but comfortable with a mild breeze in the shade of the lush trees. On the way back to Byron's apartment, the boys took the elevator up to the top of the observation deck above the water tower on top of the tall hill in Peoria Heights. The view in all directions was impressive.
Tom stopped by Byron's apartment briefly, then got on the road to Warren Ohio a little before 2 PM.
